Founded by Ernesto Thomas on the shore of Lake Lugano in 1922 and still family-run four generations on, E. Thomas weaves superfine wools from S150s to S170s alongside mohair, cashmere and wool-silk-linen blends. The house is known for giving classic Biella-style cloth a quietly modern edge — a favourite of partners whose clients want fineness with character.
